Conserve Nova Scotia offers a number of rebate programs to help Nova Scotians save energy and money.

Nova Scotia EnerGuide for Houses/ecoENERGY Program
Up to $6,500 in federal and provincial rebates are available to homeowners looking to make energy efficiency upgrades to their home.
You can also qualify for a zero-interest loan up to $5,000 by participating in these programs.
Nova Scotia EnerGuide for Houses - Low-to-Modest Income Program
Up to $6,500 in federal and provincial rebates are available to homeowners looking to make energy efficiency upgrades to their home. If you're a homeowner with a net single income of $25,000 or less, or a homeowner with a net family income of $40,000 or less, you may for a $400 top-up grant and we will rebate the $150 cost of the initial EnerGuide audit fee.
You can also qualify for a zero-interest loan up to $5,000 by participating in these programs.
Solar Rebates
Conserve Nova Scotia offers homeowners a 15 per cent rebate, up to $20,000, on the installed-cost of a solar air or water heating system.
Under the Nova Scotia EnerGuide for Houses program, existing homes may be eligible for an additional rebate from the Federal government for installing a CAN/CSA approved system for domestic hot water use.
To receive the federal incentive under the EnerGuide for Houses program, you must receive your initial EnerGuide home energy audit before installing your solar panel(s). Once you receive your initial audit, you proceed through the EnerGuide program to obtain the federal solar rebate.
Nova Scotia EnerGuide for New Homes
If you're planning on building a new home, you can qualify for up to $750 in rebates by participating in the EnerGuide for New Houses program.
If your new home achieves an EnerGuide rating of 80, we will rebate you for the cost of the EnerGuide for New Houses evaluation fee of $250. If your home achieves an EnerGuide rating of 83 or higher, we will rebate you $750 - $250 for the evaluation fee + $500
Building a new home? A $1,000 rebate is available to homeowners who build an R-2000 home.
Nova Scotia EnerGuide for Multi-Unit Residential Buildings (MURBs)
Rebates are available for making energy-efficiency upgrades to your building.
Solar Rebates
Conserve Nova Scotia offers businesses a 15 per cent rebate, up to $20,000, on the installed-cost of a solar air or water heating systems.
Businesses should also consider applying to Natural Resources Canada's ecoENERGY for Renewable Heat Program, which offers additional rebates for solar water heating systems. You must be pre-approved in order to receive federal rebates.
