Efficiency Nova Scotia Corporation Act

The Government of Nova Scotia has introduced legislation that will create an independent electricity efficiency administrator called the Efficiency Nova Scotia Corporation. The new corporation will provide Nova Scotians with a single point for accessing energy-efficiency and conservation programs. To read the Act click here.


Conserve Nova Scotia regulates the energy efficiency of appliances through the following materials:

  1. Energy Efficient Appliances Act, S.N.S. 1991, c. 2..
    1. Energy-Efficient Appliances Regulations, O.I.C. 2008-501 (September 23, 2008), N.S. Reg. 400/2008.

Departments and agencies are also guided by the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIPOP) Act and the Routine Access Policy.
