Minister's Advisory Council Member - Steve Wilson

Steven Wilson, a native of Truro, Nova Scotia, is President of Kerr Heating Products, also known as Parrsboro Metal Fabricators Limited, a Parrsboro-based manufacturer of residential and light commercial furnaces and boilers, the majority of which are Energy Star qualified.

Mr. Wilson has served as Chair of the Canadian Oil Heat Association's Energy Efficiency Rating Committee and has worked with federal and provincial governments to bring forward programs promoting high efficiency heating appliances.

Mr. Wilson holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

Mr. Wilson also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of King's College, where he is currently President of the King's Alumni Association.

"Energy efficiency and conservation make sense, both for individuals and for society as a whole," says Wilson.

"We need to take better care of our resources now in order to ensure the prosperity of future generations."
